And a little over the edge.

Lost without my Muse

The Queen has left to visit her cousin. I must admit, when I was taking her to the airport, I was looking forward to a little time to myself. Little did I know, a little time was about 10 minutes. I had just hit the tollway to head back home when I was already missing her. There has been many times when I would hear a teenager walking up the stairs and I would think, "here she comes."

I have been with the Queen for eight years. Even after eight years, when I know she is coming up the stairs, my pulse races, my sense of smell increases, and I have flashbacks of our first date, our wedding day and when she talked to the palm trees on her 21st birthday. I didn't sleep at all last night.

The Queen has managed to raise our daughters (ours because she inherited them at a very young age) with all of the love and compassion any person can give. While having dinner with the younger daughter, I asked her if she remembers her Mother. Her reply to me was "The Queen IS my mother."

We all miss her.

This brings me to my point (as I almost always have one). I will be taking a trip to Seattle in July. Why? Well, I had a free ticket and it expired on the same day as the Queen's flight to the south. I really had no idea where to go and when, so I decided that since it has been forever since I have been to Washington, it was time to revisit it.

I have plans when I get there...just to be there. I live for the experience (good or bad). You have to live for the experience. My Queen is living for her experience. I am living for her experience. I am learning who I am, what I miss, what we miss and I am growing because of it.

May your life be full of experiences.

Did you know...

The phrase "rule of thumb" is derived from an old English law which stated that you couldn't beat your wife with anything wider than your thumb.

It's incredible how we can miss someone so quickly. My husband and I have only been apart for 4 days in the last 7 years. Those 4 days were a bit weird. You are so sweet in missing her!
